Licensed School Counselor / Nexus Team Member
Intermediate District 287 is looking for a Licensed School Counselor to join the district for the 2026‑2027 school year.
Intermediate District 287 serves students in grades K‑12 and transition‑age students (18‑22 years old) from its 12 member districts in the west metro area. The district offers a wide range of services and specialized programs, primarily focused on setting IV special education, designed to meet the diverse needs of its students.

Position Details
FTE : 1.0 FTE (0.5 FTE will support North Education Center; 0.5 FTE will support the Nexus team)
Start Date : New Staff Orientation begins August 25, 2026
Salary : Based on Local 2209 Salary Schedule A: $51,349 – $101,853 (depending on experience and education)

Requirements
Candidates should be diverse, bilingual, or have experience working with diverse populations.
Advanced degree in counseling or a closely related field from an accredited college or university.
Two (2) years of professional‑level experience working with special‑education or at‑risk students (preferred).
School Counselor’s license issued by the Professional Licensing and Standards Board (PELSB).
