
Accounting Supervisor

A growing organization with ongoing organic growth and acquisition activity is seeking an Accounting Supervisor to support core accounting operations and lead day-to-day A/R and A/P functions. This role is hands‑on, highly visible, and plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, operational consistency, and process improvement.
This position is ideal for someone who is dependable, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating independently while supervising a small accounting team in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Apply US GAAP principles to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely financial reporting.
Support core accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, financial reporting, audits, tax support, budgeting, and forecasting.
Assist with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close processes, including cash flow tracking and projections.
Partner with external auditors and tax advisors to support compliance and reporting requirements.
Review accounting processes and internal controls; recommend improvements under the guidance of accounting leadership.
Provide financial analysis and accounting support related to operational decisions, complex accounting matters, and acquisition activity.
Oversee and support A/R activities including collections, credit management, reconciliations, customer inquiries, and bankruptcy‑related coordination.
Respond to A/P and vendor inquiries including payment runs, reconciliations, 1099 support, and issue resolution.
Ensure adherence to accounting policies while promoting efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
Participate in ad‑hoc projects and management reviews supporting financial and operational objectives.
People Leadership
Supervise a combined A/P and A/R team of four professionals.
Support training, mentoring, and ongoing development of accounting staff.
Foster accountability, reliability, and attention to detail across the team in alignment with business growth initiatives.
Required Profile
Strong accounts receivable background is required; prior accounts payable experience is a plus.
Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead, prioritize, and hold teams accountable.
Solid understanding of US GAAP and operational accounting processes.
Highly reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
Excellent attention to detail and follow‑through.
Professional demeanor; presentable and polished in daily interactions.
Comfortable working in an on‑site, structured environment and partnering with cross‑functional teams.
Compensation and Benefits
