Controller
Salary: $120,000 - $130,000 per year.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Controller to oversee all financial and accounting activities within our organization, working closely with senior management.

Responsibilities

Prepare and present financial reports, including monthly and annual reports, in a timely and accurate manner.

Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.

Ensure all statutory requirements of the organization are met, including GAAP.

Prepare all supporting information for the annual audit and liaise with the Board's Audit Committee and the external auditors as necessary.

Develop and manage financial controls in accordance with the company's procedures.

Oversee the operations of the treasury department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives.

Manage the acquisition of capital assets and ensure that assets are properly recorded, amortized, and disposed of as appropriate.

Assist with the development and management of budgets.

Implement and maintain internal controls to minimize financial risk.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by researching existing and new legislation, consulting with outside advisors, and filing financial reports.

Monitor risk management policies and procedures to ensure that program and organizational risks are minimized.

Oversee and lead the annual budgeting and planning process in conjunction with the executive team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred).

Professional accreditation such as CPA or CMA preferred.

Minimum of 5 years of experience.

Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including GAAP.

Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.

Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.

Exceptional knowledge of financial reporting and data management.

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organization.

Strong problem‑solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.

High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results‑orientation.
