Cancellation Clerk
Pedder Auto Group is seeking a detail-oriented Cancellation Clerk to support our dealership operations by processing F&I product cancellations, including warranties, GAP, and service contracts. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely cancellations and refunds, while maintaining compliance and supporting accounting reconciliation. Key Responsibilities
Process cancellations of F&I products including service contracts, warranties, GAP, and ancillary products
Submit cancellation requests to vendors and track status through completion
Ensure accurate calculation and processing of refunds and chargebacks
Maintain organized records of all cancellation documentation and correspondence
Communicate with customers, lenders, and internal departments regarding cancellation status
Work closely with accounting to ensure proper posting and reconciliation
Follow up on outstanding cancellations to ensure timely completion and funding adjustments
Ensure compliance with state, lender, and dealership policies
Qualifications
1+ year of experience in automotive dealership office, accounting, or contracts processing preferred
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage high-volume, repetitive tasks efficiently
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Experience with dealership systems (Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, or similar) is a plus
Prior experience handling F&I cancellations, chargebacks, or contracts-in-transit (CIT) experience a plus
