This is an exciting opportunity to work on the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM), a 63-year-old Program with a long-standing history of Mission Success and of a strong partnership with our Navy Customer. Location : This position does not support teleworking; you will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Englewood or Littleton, CO, and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time.
Role overview
The new Hardware Engineer will support the LE2 program for Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE). Use your strong electrical engineering skills to work with all project partners and define the future for FBM.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role
Participate in requirements analysis, configuration determination, design, alterations, material procurement, manufacturing, test and acceptance for a wide variety of electrical and electromechanical test systems and multifunction integrated test equipment in support of the US Navy’s Ballistic Missile Flight Test Program.
Mentor Junior engineers, interface extensively with out customers, as well as senior leadership.
Create/update project/process documentation that align to project requirements.
Lead the design, procurement, assembly, test and verification of our automated test systems, including data review and trending.
Develop hardware requirements from subsystem to all locally assigned support equipment test systems.
Interface with suppliers, customer and internal design teams to provide cost effective and low risk solutions.
Develop test system design documentation to communicate proposed designs to internal design and business teams, vendors and customers.
Support, as required, Failure Review Board activities through closure.
Ability to travel and work at alternate work sites as required, less than 25%.
To be effective in this role, you will need
Experience in both design and test of electrical hardware
3+ years of professional experience for this role
You will need to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education
Hardware development experience
Strong technical background with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) or other similar systems
Experience with interconnect design
Experience in one or more of the following: Creo, Windchill, Zuken, Pspice
Experience leading projects teams and development efforts
Must be able to work autonomously and drive items to closure
Experience with product life cycle (development, deployment, retirement)
Issue Tracking experience
Desired Skills
Capability to lead a team responsible for development and test of integrated test systems, and experience as Subject Matter Engineer or equivalent
Experience with Telemetry Data Processing (TDP)
Experience working with RF
Ability to lead/coordinate with small diverse teams in development of tech products
Experience reading schematic diagrams and other technical documentations
Experience troubleshooting system level issues
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
Security Clearance
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Top Secret

Compensation and Benefits
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. This is a general guideline and offers consider factors such as scope and responsibilities, experience, education, and market conditions.
