Receptionist
An Addison Group client is looking for a Receptionist!
This long-term temporary opportunity supports the Head of School's office within an established educational institution serving students in an inclusive environment. The front desk is a high-traffic area that welcomes students, parents, donors, contractors, and district representatives. The ideal candidate is warm, professional, organized, and comfortable communicating with individuals of varying communication needs.
Job Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional front desk environment
Greet and direct parents, students, staff, donors, contractors, and district representatives
Answer and route incoming phone calls and emails
Receive, sort, and distribute mail and packages
Support general administrative and office operations
Maintain visitor logs and assist with front desk organization
Communicate effectively with both hearing and deaf individuals (ASL skills a plus, not required)
Requirements:
Prior experience in reception, front desk, administrative support, or customer service
Experience within education, nonprofit, or community-based organizations preferred
Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Docs)
Friendly, professional, organized, and adaptable demeanor
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in an inclusive environment serving both hearing and deaf staff and visitors
Willingness to complete required background clearances (FBI Fingerprinting, Child Abuse, and State Police)
No formal degree required; strong email and communication etiquette essential
