
Clinical Nurse II - Cath Lab Observation Unit (Full Time, Day)

At NorthBay Health, the Clinical Nurse (RN) has the responsibility, accountability, and the authority to deliver safe, effective, quality, excellent nursing care according to the philosophy and goals/objectives of the Department of Nursing. The RN, utilizing Jean Watson’s Theory of Caring Relationship Based Care, and NorthBay’s professional nursing practice model assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all patients assigned to his/her care. The RN makes determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals and utilizes a therapeutic professional relationship with the patient/family and interdisciplinary team to facilitate the promotion, maintenance, and restoration of health. Care is provided according to the specific physiologic, developmental and psychosocial needs of the patient. Supports the mission, vision, values and expectation of excellence of the organization.
Education
Graduate from an accredited school of professional registered nursing.
BSN required by January 1, 2020, unless grandfathered as outlined in March 2014 letter.
Licensure
Valid and current RN license by the State of California.
Current AHA or AHA equivalent BLS.
Current ACLS
Experience
A minimum of two years in critical care or equivalent required.
One year Pre/Post Cath Lab and/or stress testing preferred.
Assessment, monitoring and care of patients requiring procedural sedation.
Assessment and monitoring of critical patient.
Pre and post procedure assessment monitoring and care of cardiac and IR patients.
As assigned to EKG – Expanded Role RN stress test credentialing.
Communication
Proficient written, verbal, and electronic communication skills.

Schedule:
40 hours weekly
Shift Length:
10-hour shifts
Shift: Variable.
Stand-by availability required with 30 minute arrival time.

Compensation Structure
NorthBay Health uses a structured compensation framework. Staff-level positions use a step-based system (Steps 1–5) based on years of directly related experience, with Step 5 representing 20 or more years of experience in the role. Manager level and above positions are paid a fixed annual base salary and are eligible for a variable incentive compensation plan. Physician compensation is structured based on specialty and role requirements.
