Bilingual Administrative Assistant

The Bilingual Administrative Assistant aids and supports school administration, teachers, parents, and students. By providing quality service to any parent and staff, phone etiquette, and cordial to any visitors as the administrative are the face of the building.
Essential duties and responsibilities include occupational disease and injury prevention, maintaining an organized office, filing paperwork, providing staff with necessary paperwork, maintaining files and reports, checking email frequently, creating newsletters and announcements, aiding with school enrollment procedures, updating the office bulletin board, answering phone calls promptly, preparing monthly menus, requesting school supplies, assisting in the classroom, attending staff meetings and training, and becoming familiar with Head Start policies and procedures.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include basic computer knowledge, handling sensitive information confidentially, replying to inquiries, attention to detail, phone etiquette, time management, effective communication, initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work independently.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, one-year office experience, good organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, good customer skills, bilingual in Spanish, and basic knowledge of computer programs Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Drive. Working conditions include a business environment, general office, and local travel as requested.
