Position Summary
The position is responsible for a wide variety educational and communication coordination duties and will assist in routine and non-routine responsibilities of the daily operation and administrative aspects for iEXCEL. This position will assist the delivery of experiential education sessions using the first floor of the davits global center, Additionally, this position supports iEXCEL’ s communications and engagement efforts through content creation, media coordination, and internal messaging.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with educational sessions and trainings

Coordinate digital poster sessions

Assist with tours and events

Produce social media content

Manage iEXCEL newsletters, dashboards, and the annual report

Contribute story proposals for UNMC Today

Provide photography and editing services

Collaborate on website updates

Help elevate iEXCEL’ s national visibility

Required Education
Marketing, Communications or related field

Required Experience
Minimum 2 years in marketing and/or outreach events

Required Computer Applications
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to design and create marketing and informational materials

Knowledge of office administration practices

Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to occasionally work irregular hours to meet deadlines

Ability to prioritize and organize multiple, complex administrative duties independently.

Ability to work in an innovative environment and to deal with complex matters, often involving a high sense of urgency requiring immediate action.

Ability to work autonomously and possess a high level of critical thinking and independent judgment with minimal supervision.

Must maintain harmonious relationships with both internal and external customers and adheres to UNMC and NM Customer Service values.

Must maintain an open-minded, motivated, and positive outlook to provide the Institution with the best skills possible

Demonstrated experience in developing social media posts, digital graphics and branding communications

Understand brand management

Awareness of editing, design and social media trends

Preferred Education
Business, Graphic Design or related

Preferred Computer Applications
Microsoft Project, Website, Facebook, Sharepoint

Preferred Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Prepare presentations for local, national, and global audiences. These presentations are highly graphical in nature and frequently animated and require excellent computer skills including embedded videos and graphic design capabilities.

Knowledge of UNMC and Medical Industry preferred
