Full-time / 40 hours per week
Summary
Practices in a variety of pharmaceutical care settings including inpatient medical surgical, critical care, medication safety, administration, infectious diseases, and other patient care areas.
Formal Education Required
Doctor of Pharmacy
In the absence of a Doctorate, must have minimum education of BS in pharmacy and demonstrate clinical knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Licensed or license eligible by the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio.
Other Skills, Competencies And Qualifications
Advanced clinical pharmacy skills
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with pharmacists, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare personnel.
Working knowledge of pharmacy law
Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient and departmental records
Ability to understand and carry out the vision of patient care at Summa: to create a patient care environment which is focused on the needs and expectations of the patient, our customer
Ability to be self-directed in executing responsibilities within a team structure
Ability to effectively interact with and adapt pharmaceutical care for diverse patients/customers with the understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
Ability to acquire skills necessary to operate department computer application packages
Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.

Compensation
$25.71 per hour. The salary range is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
