Overview
Job Description
— The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech functions as an essential team member in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Duties include scrubbing to assist the MD, circulating for supplies to assist the procedure, or monitoring the patient’s hemodynamic status during the procedure.
Work Schedule
— Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM. No on-call, no weekends, no holidays.
Responsibilities
Scrub to assist the physician during procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab.
Circulate to provide supplies and support the procedure as needed.
Monitor the patient’s hemodynamic status during the procedure.

Education
Graduate of an accredited two-year Allied Health training program preferred.
College-level anatomy & physiology required.
Experience
Three years patient care experience preferred.
Training or working experience in an invasive cardiovascular environment preferred.
Certification & Licensure
Acquire Cardiac Interventional (CI) Radiography certification or a CVT with Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification within 2 years of employment.
A Registered Radiology Technologist may be hired in this position.
BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) - American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (HCP) required. New hires must have AHA-certified prior to completion of orientation.
ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within 30 days of hire.
Qualifications
Competent to interact with patients according to their needs based on age of patient served.
Must possess communication skills to relate to physicians, peers, and patients on a professional and technical level.
