WHAT YOU’LL DO & HOW IT SHAPES OUR SUCCESS
The
Event Consultant
is a key member of the Brand Experience team, responsible for planning and executing strategic, brand‑aligned consumer events and experiences. This role works on a team to bring immersive, large‑scale experiences to life that deepen consumer engagement, elevate brand perception, and drive business results.
Key areas of accountability include consumer experiences such as the Hallmark Christmas Experience and future brand activations. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of diverse audiences and how to authentically express the Hallmark brand across touchpoints to deliver exceptional, purpose‑driven experiences.
In this role, you'll:
Implement event strategy as defined by event leadership team and business partners
Develop event plans and oversee end‑to‑end event management for large events (e.g., agenda management, registration sites, catering, transportation, hotel, post‑event analysis and recaps)
Align internal and external partners to ensure alignment to defined event strategy (e.g., business partners, communications leads, design teams, visual merchandising, external vendors)
Negotiate event‑specific contracts with vendors and manage vendors through event
Deliver effective programs on budget, on time, on strategy to ensure client satisfaction
Assist with planning and support across the events teams during peak event times
Bring new ideas, solutions and event trends

Ability to manage large, complex projects with multiple priorities and deadlines
Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization
Corporate and interpersonal savvy
Building and maintaining strong professional relationships
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
At least 5 years of event development or program management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
A team player who thrives in a highly collaborative environment
Ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization; build and maintain strong professional relationships
Event management certification
2+ years of experience with online registration and event application development
Prior experience organizing corporate events, including consumer‑facing events
Bachelor’s degree with business or marketing emphasis
Exemplary communication (verbal, written, consulting) and organization skills
Ability to prioritize and manage projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines
Can command a fast‑paced, high‑volume change environment that requires real‑time adjustment and problem solving
Effectively works with diverse audiences
Personal leadership skills as strong as technical event skills: self‑motivated, high degree of personal accountability, leads beyond their role, resilient and positive attitude
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
The salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000. Final compensation varies based on several factors.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, collaborating in person at our headquarters in Kansas City, MO and enjoying the flexibility of working remotely.
