Job Description
Kaye Bender Rembaum, P.L. is a high volume, large Community Association practice located in Pompano Beach, FL. The Firm is seeking a Bankruptcy Assistant in our Foreclosure Department.
This is a fast-paced environment! Candidates must be able to juggle multiple tasks and demands and be able to switch tasks depending on the priority.
Benefits available the first of the month after 60 days of employment. Matching 401k after one year of employment with entry dates of January and July.
Pay rate: $25.00 per hour
Must live within reasonable commute to Pompano Beach
This is an in-office position!
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and file:
Proofs of Claim
Motions for Relief from Stay
Objections to Plans
Review bankruptcy notices, track pleadings, and monitor court dockets
Calendar and track critical deadlines and timelines
Utilize CM/ECF electronic filing systems
Maintain accurate case files and status updates
Support attorneys in Chapters 7, 11, and 13
Apply knowledge of federal bankruptcy procedures and local court rules
Communicate with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and co‑workers
Copy, scan, file, and prepare correspondence and mailings
E‑file pleadings with courts across multiple counties
Maintain status reports for open cases
Manage daily/weekly/monthly calendars and task lists for multiple attorneys
Schedule and confirm hearings, depositions, mediations, trials, and meetings
Skills & Preferred Qualifications
Proficiency in WordPerfect, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
Strong communication skills (electronic, telephonic, and written)
Ability to work effectively with attorneys, management, and co‑workers
Strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records and documentation
