Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and automotive diagnostics, with the ability to work effectively with hand tools and schematics. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and vehicles.
Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Assemble and disassemble engine components as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
Interpret schematics to understand complex systems and components.
Work collaboratively with other service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs.
Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in diesel technology.
Fire pump service
Experience
Must possess a minimum NYS (CDL) Class B w/ Air Brake Endorsement Class A preferred
5+ years of relevant experience
Basic 12v knowledge
Candidate shall own all basic tools required to perform duties of heavy truck mechanic
Welding proficiency is a plus but not a requirement
(EVT) Emergency Vehicle Technician Certified or willing to become certified within the first 6 months of employment. Company paid and travel potential to obtain
Flexible schedule to attend annual training sessions that pertain to manufacturer specific apparatus
Basic fire pump knowledge
Task oriented and ability to perform in fast paced environment
Weekly availability 7:30am-4pm with the possibility of overtime (Voluntary and very infrequent)
