Job Description
We provide paid training. No prior medical experience required. Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Job Overview:
When you join the team you will utilize your healthcare and/or customer service skills to assist with every step of the blood collection process at our fixed site locations. This includes collaborating with your team to create a welcoming and comfortable environment for volunteer donors, and following all safety procedures while collecting lifesaving blood donations that are delivered to hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:

Take the time to personally connect with donors, listening to their stories and helping them understand how impactful their donation is.

Collaborate with teammates to create a welcoming and friendly environment so volunteers feel comfortable returning again and again.

Be detail‑oriented throughout the day to ensure collected blood meets regulatory requirements and is safe for transfusion.

Standard Schedule (Rochester and West Henrietta, New York):

Staff work a variable schedule that may include early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.

4 x 10‑hour shifts with rotating weekends.

Schedule is provided two to three weeks in advance.

Pay Information:

Starting rate of $22.00 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree or a combination of education and work experience required.

Minimum of one year of customer service experience in a public setting required.

A valid driver’s license with a good driving record required.

Physical requirements: ability to lift, push, pull heavy weights up and down ramps and stairs, good manual dexterity, ability to sit or stand for long periods, adapt to irregular hours, frequent schedule changes.

Basic computer skills required; proficiency with Microsoft Office applications required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior healthcare or phlebotomy experience (e.g., CNA, MA, EMT).

Prior leadership experience.
