Our client is a strong, rapidly growing, family‑owned manufacturing company in the construction/infrastructure industry and we are seeking an experienced
Assistant Controller
to join their team.
This is a high‑impact role for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, operates with a strong sense of urgency, and takes ownership of deadlines and results. The Assistant Controller will partner closely with leadership and play a key role in financial reporting, intercompany accounting, debt tracking, fixed asset management, and margin analysis across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements
Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations
Maintain and monitor fixed asset and debt schedules and prepare related reporting
Perform margin and profitability analysis across product lines and entities
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
Support cost accounting and inventory processes (manufacturing environment)
Help maintain internal controls and improve accounting processesCoordinate with external auditors and financial partners
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of progressive accounting experience
Strong GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems
Highly Preferred:
Manufacturing or construction industry experience
Cost accounting and inventory experience
Multi‑entity accounting experience
