
Paralegal

Description
Draft, review, and finalize legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, contracts, and correspondence
Conduct advanced legal and factual research to support attorneys in case strategy
Prepare attorneys for hearings, mediations, depositions, and trials, including organizing exhibits and trial binders
Manage and maintain case files, ensuring compliance with deadlines and court rules
Review, analyze, and summarize discovery materials, including medical, financial, and real estate records
File and serve legal documents, including e-filing in state and federal courts
Communicate directly with clients, witnesses, experts, and court personnel with professionalism and discretion
Maintain attorneys’ calendars, monitor case progress, and track critical deadlines
Uphold confidentiality and discretion with all client and firm information
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm (required; applications without this will not be considered)
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, or completion of an ABA‑approved paralegal certificate program strongly preferred
Proven experience managing probate, litigation, and real estate cases independently while supporting multiple attorneys
Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and filing requirements
Proficiency in Clio or other legal case management software strongly preferred
Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills; must demonstrate professionalism in client‑facing interactions
High level of reliability, integrity, and discretion
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
