Position Summary
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs to ensure equipment, machinery, and facility operations run efficiently and safely. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and completing a wide range of maintenance tasks within a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment and facility systems
Diagnose mechanical issues and implement effective solutions
Interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical drawings
Utilize precision measuring instruments and maintenance tools
Build, modify, and repair equipment to meet operational needs
Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and materials
Collaborate with team members to meet production and maintenance goals
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety and efficiency
Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
Must have own tools
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and basic electrical components
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Experience with preventative maintenance programs
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Certifications (Preferred)
Forklift Operator Certification
Crane Operation Certification
