
Systems Program Manager -Hybrid Role (Monday- Wednesday in Office)

Overview
The Systems Program Manager (PM) is responsible for coordination of numerous concurrent, complex projects working with Business Partners and Information Technology areas to define project requirements and execution plans. The PM will own planning, monitoring, reporting, risk mitigation, issue coordination, and budget management. In this role, the individual will build strong partnerships and leadership experiences with Business and IT Team Members. The individual will be a key contributor to continue transforming the solution landscape of a rapidly growing specialty retailer which is investing heavily in technology.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Overall coordination of multiple simultaneous technology projects including status reporting, IT/Business dashboards, project budget to actual analysis, and Steering Committee coordination.
Detailed project management of specific large projects which includes creation of project schedules/plans, status reporting, issue management, budget tracking, and risk mitigation.
Coordination and management of interdependencies between multiple third‑party vendors.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with business partners, IT, and vendor teams.
Partner with all areas of the business to facilitate the work intake process, learn their processes, understand their requests, make suggestions, and define expectations.
Contribute to the delivery of application enhancements in support of the company and technology strategy.
Advocate the need for change by acting as a change agent to implement and manage best practices. Coach others through changes.
Report cross‑functionally to various areas of the business depending on the initiatives underway.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Marketing or related field of study.
At least five years’ experience in project/program management, budgeting, reporting and metrics. Preferred experience in eCommerce and ERP implementations/upgrades.
Superb people skills including the proven ability to coordinate project activity involving IT, business, and third‑party resources.
Excellent understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process.
Excellent understanding and experience with Waterfall and Agile project management processes.
Experience in master project management, program management, and project management skills including project planning, dashboards, project budget management and analysis, and Steering Committee coordination.
Proven ability to learn from business partners, understand their needs, define expectations, and coordinate delivery to exceed those expectations.
A determined drive for continuous improvement of themselves, their team, and the organization.
Ability to clearly articulate business opportunities that align with the overall organization priorities.
Expertise with various project management applications – MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, etc.
Strong attention to detail and excellent analysis skills.
Excellent attention to detail and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
Strong professional communication (both verbal and non‑verbal) and interpersonal skills necessary to express ideas and influence others appropriately.
Ability to work with and build relationships with a variety of individuals and groups at all levels in a constructive and collaborative manner.
Must possess a combination of business, technical and leadership skills and competencies.
Customer service and results oriented.
Maintains the organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining, delivering, and supporting strategic plans for implementing technologies.
Knowledge of the eCommerce industry is strongly desired and retail experience is a plus.
