Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist, Full time day shift

Job Summary
Assists physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of heart, lung, and blood vessel disorders by conducting invasive and non‑invasive diagnostic tests of cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, operating x‑ray and physiological equipment, and maintaining equipment and records of test results.

Essential Functions

Assists physicians with procedures; operates all special procedure equipment and selects and modifies technical factors as needed.

Monitors, records, and evaluates patient vital signs throughout procedures.

Provides protection to patients in accordance with prescribed radiation safety standards; uses collimation, patient radiation protection, and immobilization.

Maintains proper sterile techniques and performs aseptic and infection control procedures.

Operates, records, and maintains physiologic equipment in accordance with established clinical cardiovascular procedures.

Responsible for all cardiac catheterization equipment such as C‑Arm, angiographic injectors, and patient monitoring equipment; reports malfunctions, performs preventive maintenance, and executes simple troubleshooting.

Assists the cardiologist and/or radiologist or physician during special procedures, including administration of opaque media via catheter or direct injection; assists during examination related to catheterization, filming, and monitoring of the patient.

Completes appropriate forms at the start and end of any special procedures, including special procedure record sheet and radiology requisition; records charges appropriately.

Performs general office duties as requested; keeps area stocked; cleans and disinfects equipment after each patient use; cleans the special procedures room daily.

Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience: preferred.

One year of catheterization experience: preferred.

American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (ARRT‑R): required.

Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) Radiologic Technologist License: required in OR.

Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS, HS‑BLS, or RQI‑BLS) certification: required.

AHA‑BLS or ARC‑BLS: required.

AHA‑ACLS or ARC‑ALS: required.

Required to receive and annually renew vaccinations as a condition of employment.
