Job Overview
Roadside Technician – Emergency response tire technician for semi‑truck fleets at Goodyear Commercial Tire & Service Centers. Shift: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, M‑F with rotating on‑call shifts. Location: 4600 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing, MI 48917.
Base pay: $21 (training) – $23 (DOE) hourly plus double pay for service calls with a two‑hour minimum. All after‑hours calls are compensated at a premium pay rate with guaranteed minimums.
Responsibilities
Respond to on‑site tire failure calls and perform tire repairs or replacements.
Maintain readiness on the roadside during the work day, including stewarding the shop when no calls are pending.
Use match mounting, match mating dual assemblies, and radial runout equipment as needed.
Inflate tires to prescribed PSI based on load requirements.
Comply with OSHA regulations and safety policies: proper PPE and use of tire cages.

Basic Requirements
Valid driver’s license and meet commercial driver qualification requirements.
At least 18 years old.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior commercial service tire experience.
