Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Skilled registered nurses with a strong background in perioperative care have the opportunity to contribute their expertise in a dynamic operating room environment. This contract position is designed for professionals proficient in general OR, CVOR, and surgical nursing, who thrive in fast-paced clinical settings and are committed to delivering excellent patient outcomes. Schedule/Hours:Two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per weekStart times: 6:50am–3:20pm for 8-hour shifts; 6:50am–7:20pm for 12-hour shiftsOne 12-hour weekend shift every 5–6 weeks8-hour weekend call rotation every 2 monthsFlexibility to select off-shifts to tailor your work-life balance Qualifications:Valid RN licenseMinimum of one year experience in Operating Room nursing, including CVORCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationStrong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and support staffFamiliarity with OR safety protocols and infection control standards Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phasesCirculate and/or scrub during procedures in both general OR and CVOR settingsMonitor patient status, anticipate needs in a rapidly changing surgical environmentServe as a patient advocate and coordinate care among interdisciplinary team membersDocument care accurately and maintain compliance with all institutional and regulatory requirementsRespond promptly to emergencies, participate in call rotation, and ensure continuity of care This role is an excellent fit for detail-oriented professionals eager to advance their skills in a collaborative and supportive surgical setting.
