Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years OR RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking an experienced RN with a background in the Operating Room (OR) and Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) nursing for a contract opportunity supporting surgical services. This dynamic environment requires a nurse skilled in perioperative care, patient monitoring, and surgical team collaboration. Schedule/Hours:Two 8-hour and two 12-hour shifts per weekOne 12-hour weekend shift every 5-6 weeks8-hour weekend call rotation every two monthsPick-up options for additional off shiftsStart times include 6:50am-3:20pm or 6:50am-7:20am Required Qualifications:Active RN license with proven success in OR and CVOR settingsCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationStrong understanding of perioperative protocols and safety standardsAbility to function efficiently in high-pressure situations and maintain clear communication with surgeons and surgical technologistsComfort with circulating and/or scrubbing in a variety of cases, including cardiac and general surgical proceduresExcellent assessment skills and quick response to changes in patient status Primary Responsibilities:Prepare surgical suite and anticipate needs for routine and complex operative proceduresProvide direct care and support to patients before, during, and after operationsMonitor patient status, document interventions, and communicate updates to surgical teamsEnsure compliance with infection control measures and hospital policiesTake charge of emergency situations, demonstrating critical thinking and clinical acumenParticipate in after-hours/weekend rotation as scheduled This contract position is ideal for professionals who excel in fast-paced surgical environments.
