Mechanical Inspector

As a Mechanical Inspector, you will interpret aerospace drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions to ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and customer requirements. You will inspect incoming raw materials and components to verify conformity, traceability, and certification requirements. This role involves performing First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections using precision measurement tools and functional testing methods. You will operate quality systems and test equipment, such as CMMs and inspection software, to conduct complex verification and validation activities, while maintaining detailed quality records, metrics, and inspection reports.
Responsibilities:
Interpret aerospace drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
Ensure compliance with AS9100, FAA, and customer requirements.
Inspect incoming raw materials and components for conformity and traceability.
Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) and in-process inspections.
Operate quality systems and test equipment, such as CMMs and inspection software.
Maintain detailed quality records, metrics, and inspection reports.
Communicate inspection results to quality and program management.
Essential Skills:
Proficiency in mechanical inspection and quality control.
Experience with precision measurement tools, such as calipers and micrometers.
Ability to conduct First Article Inspections (FAI).
Skilled in using CMM and inspection software.
Understanding of GD&T standards and practices.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Certification in CMM operation.
Knowledge of GD&T principles.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $62500.00/yr. Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k
