Responsible for managing the end-to-end import process for ocean freight shipments. This role ensures timely, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining strong relationships with carriers, customs brokers, and clients.

Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and manage ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery
Review and process shipping documentation (e.g., bills of lading, arrival notices, invoices)
Track and trace shipments, providing proactive updates to customers
Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations and import requirements
Work closely with customs brokers to facilitate clearance of goods
Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, truckers, and warehouses
Handle billing, cost verification, and file profitability
Resolve shipment issues, delays, or discrepancies efficiently
Maintain accurate records in the company’s operating system
Qualifications
2-5 years of experience in ocean import freight forwarding
Strong understanding of international shipping documentation and Incoterms
Knowledge of U.S. Customs procedures and compliance requirements
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
Strong communication and customer service abilities
