Jeppesen ForeFlight is seeking a United States Air Force (USAF) Mid-Level Flight Dispatcher/Trip Planner to join their Flight Support Services team at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland. In this position, you will be supporting the 89th Airlift Wing Operation Group (AW OG) with ground-based logistics planning and flight dispatch services. This position is an onsite position located at Joint Base Andrews, MD. Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring and updating trip planning tasks
Coordinating with destination facilities to arrange appropriate support
Managing domestic and international trip coordination
Tracking active flights and issuing timely updates to destination airports (domestic and international)
Providing customers with status of upcoming trips
Preparing and transmitting routine flight plans and weather information
Preparing airfield suitability worksheet for domestic and international airports
Acquiring, distributing, and interpreting publications required for safe flight and regulatory compliance
Maintaining operational files, and handling requests for handling, overflight, landing, hotel bookings, and crew transport
These responsibilities directly support the United States Air Force 1st Airlift Squadron, 89th Operations Group, 89th Airlift Wing, and encompass day-to-day coordination of aircraft and crew logistics, including Presidential Support flights
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
FAA Dispatcher Certificate or the ability to obtain FAA Dispatcher Certificate within 1 year of hire
3+ years of experience in mission planning
3+ years of experience in a customer service role
Fluent in verbal and written communications skills in English
Ability to work variable shifts; including days, evenings, nights and weekends, as this Trip Planning team will be maintaining 24/7/365 coverage
This position is an onsite position located at Joint Base Andrews, MD.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active Security Clearance
5+ years of experience in mission planning
5+ years of experience in a customer service role
