AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.

Key job responsibilities

On-site management of hardware lifecycle for IT infrastructure (data center hardware, cables, servers, networking devices, etc.)

Install, maintain, and repair server racks and hardware components; perform break‑fix on various components.

Troubleshoot network issues and respond to emergent situations affecting operational stability.

Work with the Operations team to meet SLAs on assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow; be the first‑line touch point for hardware troubleshooting.

Perform on‑call duties and participate in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.

Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goal discussion.

Apply policies and procedures, including safety and security, and use appropriate knowledge.

Document technical issues through root cause analysis, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Assist in training less‑experienced team members (for more experienced technicians).

Work a 24x7 shift rotation.

A day in the life

Support data center infrastructure equipment (rack, server, networking devices, cables).

Follow ticket‑based instructions to resolve systematic problems and perform routine operations on hardware/spare parts (rack installation, server break/fix, rack decommissioning).

Participate in on‑call duties and scheduled maintenance/ change‑management activities.

Demonstrate strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving.

Manage site operations, maintain tidiness in operation areas.

Cover 24x7 shift rotation.

Basic Qualifications

Computer/server hardware troubleshooting experience.

Computer networking, including fiber troubleshooting experience and theory.

Minimum 2+ years of experience in relevant field.

Preferred Qualifications

Linux OS, hardware or networking certifications.

Knowledge in cloud computing environments.

Understanding of IT service management and data center environment safety and security.
