Position Summary

The server provides superior guest service to the restaurant patrons. You will greet guests in a warm, friendly and inviting manner, take food and beverage orders, strong knowledge of menu options and specials, provide menu recommendations, and serves orders accurately in a fast-paced environment. Must be adept in using the POS systems for orders and payments, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You must have strong communication skills, physical stamina, and work well in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Guest Service:

Welcoming guests, answering questions, and providing specials and menu recommendations.
Order Management:

Taking accurate food/drink orders and transmitting them to the kitchen/bar.
Serving:

Delivering food and beverages promptly.
POS Operation:

Processing payments and handling cash/credit transactions.
Maintenance:

Cleaning and resetting tables, and maintaining sanitization standards.
Trouble Shoot:

Resolve issues as they come up in a respectful manner maintaining guest satisfaction and escalating concerns to management when they need help.
Requirements and Qualifications

Age Requirement:

18 years or older to serve drinks
Experience:

Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is often preferred.
Interpersonal Skills:

Strong verbal communication, active listening, and a friendly, professional demeanor.
Skills:

Strong communication, multitasking, and basic math skills.
Flexibility:

Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
Certifications:

Food handling or responsible alcohol service certifications (e.g., TIPS) may be required
Time Management:

Strong time management skills to multi task, be able to provide quick yet hospitable service.
Customer service:

Handle routine questions and use proper guest resolution skills to solve problems while maintaining guest satisfaction.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

Physical Stamina: Ability to stand/walk for long periods
Lift up to 25–30 lbs.
Must be able to carry a tray with drinks/food
Able to be nimble; walk with purpose and in a fast environment
Reach, stoop or bend for items in storage or in the freezer, liquor room etc, occasionally.
Tolerance for outdoor environment with exposure to sun, rain or inclement weather
