Location: Everett or Renton, WA. The role is on the Seats Integration Team (SIT).
Key Responsibilities
Acts as subject matter expert (SME) for seat design, certification, and installation across multiple seat projects and supplier actions.
Provides engineering leadership to the Seats Integration Team spanning internal disciplines (payloads, wiring, seat electrical, stress, certification, flammability, software) and external resources (seat suppliers, sub‑suppliers, regulatory agencies, airline customers).
Leads technical integration of multiple engineering disciplines on highly complex projects and provides consultative direction.
Plans, identifies, and coordinates engineering resources across project/program lifecycle.
Leads project execution to complete engineering statements of work; responds to SOW changes, assesses impacts, and negotiates modifications to deliverables, resources, costs, and schedules.
Communicates project status and program‑level seat guidance to Boeing executives, program PIMs, supply chain leadership, factory and flightline operations, suppliers, and airline customers.
Identifies program‑level seat risks and implements risk mitigation strategies with program teams.
Establishes and reports project technical performance metrics; compares actuals to baseline to assess performance, productivity, efficiencies, and lessons learned; works with leadership to implement improvements.
Provides integration leadership for implementation and execution of seat projects, including authoring or oversight of certification plans and technical dispositions as needed.
Coordinates with regulatory agencies, suppliers, and customers to support certification and delivery.
Basic Qualifications (Required)
Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Materials, or related).
9+ years of relevant experience or equivalent industry experience.
Willingness/ability to travel domestically and internationally (typically 10%–20%).
Preferred Qualifications
14+ years of relevant experience or equivalent industry experience.
Experience with payloads engineering releases and configuration management processes.
Demonstrated experience leading cross-discipline technical integration and project execution.
Experience implementing and sustaining project management best practices.
Experience authoring certification plans and reviewing technical documentation.
Familiarity with FAA Title 14 Part 25 and EASA equivalents.
Experience with CATIA, ENOVIA, IVT, DCCS, and REDARS.
FAA DER Interior Arrangements experience or equivalent certification knowledge.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to present technical status to leadership and external stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail and demonstrated collaborative skills across multi-stakeholder environments.

Summary pay range for Senior (level 4): $143,100 - $174,900. Summary pay range for Senior (level 5): $175,500 - $214,500.
