Girls Soccer Head Coach (SY 26-27) (Stipend)

Director of Athletics

Salary range:
$5,403–$8,070 stipend
Time Commitment:
Six days a week
Twenty to twenty-five hours a week
Three games a week
Season Length: 8/24/2026 – 11/23/2026

SUMMARY:
The Watertown Public Schools seeks an outstanding head coach to coach the soccer team for the 2025-2026 school year. WPS is dedicated to excellence, equity, and community. Be a part of creating a bright future for WPS students.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning all areas of their team.
The head coach will lead and assist their coaching staff in coordinating efforts toward a single program goal and ensuring compliance with rules at all levels.
Analyze game strategy.
Implementation of skill development.
Coverage on bus trips.
Video analysis of games.
Statistical analysis of games.
Attend all league and local, district, and state meetings when necessary.
They will oversee the contact of local youth groups to promote their respective sports in town.
Planning award ceremonies and individual award winners.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
CPR Certified.
NFHS concussion course.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience coaching soccer.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
