Talascend is currently seeking an HVAC/Refrigeration Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in
Waukesha, Wisconsin .
Overview
This role involves operating, inspecting, and maintaining HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and production equipment in assigned facilities to ensure efficient performance, safety, and minimal downtime. The technician will perform inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting to support the facility's operational needs, utilizing technical expertise in HVAC and refrigeration systems.
Responsibilities
Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and response work orders on mechanical, electrical, and other systems within the facility.
Maintain, operate, and repair HVAC/R systems, electrical distribution, plumbing, building interior and exterior features, and production equipment.
Familiarize oneself with equipment and proper usage methods for daily activities.
Conduct facility inspections and record conditions impacting client occupancy and operations.
Submit P-card receipts daily and update work order statuses in real time.
Utilize CMMS systems such as Corrigo for all maintenance activities.
Maintain a valid state driver’s license and be available for call-in work as required.
Qualifications
Universal CFC recovery certification (or within 90 days of employment)
Minimum of four (4) years of technical experience in building engineering, with a strong background in HVAC/R, plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair and maintenance
Knowledge of system design and applications
Experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial or supermarket refrigeration systems
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using CMMS (Work Order) systems
Working knowledge of Word and Excel
Two years of trades school or documented apprenticeship in electrical systems, refrigeration, and HVAC
