Senior Accountant - Corporate Accounting

Summary
Hyatt seeks an enthusiastic senior accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team and work closely with the broader finance organization. You will play a key role in ensuring excellent financial reporting while supporting the growth and success of the organization.

The Role
Routine responsibilities include preparing and reviewing journal entries, overseeing balance‑sheet account reconciliations, performing financial statement analytics, and compiling details for quarterly cash‑flow statements and footnote disclosures. The senior accountant will oversee the quality of work performed by staff accountants, assist their supervisor(s) in career development, enhance internal controls, and participate in special projects to streamline accounting processes.

Prepare and review monthly journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and analytics for significant account balances (e.g., cash, debt, accruals).

Review journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics, and other work assigned to and prepared by staff accountants.

Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures and special projects, as required.

Field and resolve inquiries from management, other departments within Hyatt, and external auditors.

Contribute to Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance, including documentation of processes and testing of key controls.

Review quarterly schedules for external reporting.

Qualifications
Experience Required

3-5 years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or an equivalent business/financial role.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office.

Experience Preferred

Master’s degree in accounting, finance, or business.

Certified Public Accountant.

Previous supervisory responsibilities or other experience that involves ensuring the quality of work delivered by other individuals.

Salary range for this position: $78,500–$102,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual bonus. The final salary will depend on experience, skill level, and qualifications for the role, as well as the location of work performance. Compensation will meet local minimum wage requirements.
