Summary
The Financial Analyst, Customs will play a key role in providing financial and analytical support to DSV's US customs brokerage. The role includes conducting financial analysis, developing financial models, preparing reports and forecasts, and providing financial guidance to management.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare and analyze financial data and perform forecasting for DSV’s US customs brokerage division.
Conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, including ROI and pricing analysis.
Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting.
Collaborate with various teams across the organization to identify opportunities for process improvement.
Monitor, validate and report on financial performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to management.
Provide financial guidance and support to operational teams, helping to ensure financial targets are met.
Assist with the preparation of presentations and reports for management and stakeholders.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in financial analysis and reporting.
Educational Background / Work Experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
Master's degree a plus.
2-5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in the logistics industry.
Experience with financial modeling and analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
Required Skills
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Prior experience using Business Intelligence tools – Power BI.
Demonstrated experience with general ledger and reporting systems.
Previously performed data extraction from large systems.
Experience with financial modeling and analysis, forecasting and budgeting.
Ability to synthesize complex data and information into clear and concise reports and presentations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling and analysis tools.
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Computer Literacy and Software
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial modeling and analysis tools.
Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
Compensation and Benefits
Expected base pay:
$62,500 - $84,500 per year. Actual base compensation will be determined based on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, geographic location and other objective business considerations.
Benefits include health benefits such as medical, prescription, dental, vision, and life insurance; flexible and health spending accounts; short and long‑term disability coverage; wellness resources; and a 401(k) plan with company matching up to 5%.
Paid time off, paid holidays and floating holidays are also provided.
