Description
You will be the Systems Engineer for the PAC 3 program at LockheedMartin Missiles & Fire Control in Chelmsford/Andover, MA. Our team designs, develops and sustains precision engagement missile systems for the U.S. and allied forces, and we are expanding to meet increasing mission demands.
Responsibilities
Defining and managing system level requirements, traceability matrices and baseline documentation.
Leading functional and physical architecture development, performing trade studies and recommending optimal design solutions.
Guiding verification and validation planning, including test readiness reviews, hardware-in-the-loop simulations and final system acceptance.
Acting as the primary interface manager with external customers, suppliers and internal program partners to capture and resolve technical issues.
Conducting and chairing System Design Reviews, Technical Interchange Meetings, and Risk/Issue Management sessions.
Overseeing configuration control, change management and documentation in LM PLM tools (e.g., Windchill, DOORS).
Mentoring and coaching other systems engineers, fostering an inclusive, collaborative culture and promoting continuous skill development.
Supporting program schedule and cost tracking by providing accurate technical estimates and status reporting to senior leadership.
Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams—propulsion, guidance, software, test, manufacturing and quality—to ensure seamless subsystem integration.
Driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance affordability, reliability and technical rigor across the PAC 3 product line.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science engineering degree with 7+ years related experience or Master of Science engineering degree with 5+ years related experience.
Systems Engineering experience with DOORS and/or CAMEO.
Experience in requirements management including decomposition to subsystem level requirements, traceability analysis and verification planning.
Desired Skills
Experience with DOD products.
Experience with missile program is preferred.
Ability to perform detail system verification activities including definition of verification methodology.
Ability to perform trade studies and requirement analyses.
Hands-on hardware experience is a plus.
Integration and Test experience is a plus.
Similarity with RF Product is a plus.
Experience with risk management is a plus.
Security Clearance
This position requires a government security clearance. The selected candidate must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored Interim Secret is required to start.
Pay Rate
The annual base salary range for this position in Massachusetts is $89,300-157,550. (Note: ranges may vary by location.)
