Overview
Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) is the academic health center of Rutgers University, New Jersey, offering education in medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, nursing, biomedical research, and allied health. Position Summary
The Postdoctoral Associate supports clinical faculty in directing and overseeing assessment and treatment of children with autism spectrum and related disorders, and participates in the development and coordination of research programs. Duties include direct supervision of program development, implementation of assessment and treatment protocols, and ongoing research monitoring, as well as policy creation and procedure implementation.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and direct client intake and discharge activities, including initial consent and paperwork with caregivers.
Review assessment and treatment data to perform analysis of findings.
Monitor and ensure fidelity of assessment and treatment procedures.
Develop and refine skill‑acquisition programs (curriculum‑based, developmental, social skills).
Develop and refine behavior‑reduction programs (functional communication training, noncontingent reinforcement).
Prepare and deliver timely and accurate reports for funding agencies.
Review and edit initial drafts of session materials, session descriptions, and progress notes.
Coordinate and direct assessment and treatment procedures and assist with implementation as needed.
Direct or conduct caregiver training (parents, school personnel).
Qualifications
Doctorate in psychology or behavior analysis within three months of the start date.
Licensed or board‑certified as a psychologist or behavior analyst within six months of the start date.
Proficiency in English for verbal and written communications.
Experience supervising work with children with autism and related disorders in an educational, instructional, or therapeutic setting is preferred.
Compensation
Minimum Salary: $20,000
Mid‑Range Salary: $90,000
Maximum Salary: $200,000
