About the Role
Amazon's Global Finance Solutions (GFS) team is a fast‑paced, team‑focused, dynamic environment and delivering great experiences for our customers is a top priority. GFS is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support our NASF Finance team.
Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
Financial close and performing related reporting, accruals, etc.
Monthly P&L analysis, financial reporting and forecasts.
Using financial systems and advanced MS Excel functions to work with large data sets.
Headcount reporting, planning and forecasting.
Establishing, measuring, and monitoring weekly KPI metric discussions for new and existing business initiatives and operational performance.
Assisting in measuring and reporting progress on key goals for the business team in a timely and accurate manner.
Performing ad‑hoc business analyses and financial modeling.
Providing inputs for monthly and quarterly business reviews, facilitating business reviews with data analysis.
Facilitating financial review meetings with business groups and ensuring effective finance and cost management.
Partnering with stakeholders to develop strategic multi‑year or long‑term operating plans.
Challenging processes, identifying and implementing solutions to resolve, improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance processes.
Identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, root causes, escalating discrepancies, and fixing data where possible.
Qualifications
4+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
CPA or MBA.
4+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision‑making.
Experience working with large‑scale data mining and reporting tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
