POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a
Licensed Electrician
( MUST BE LICENSED ) with telecom experience to support cell site infrastructure projects throughout the Detroit, Michigan area. This role focuses primarily on battery installations, power upgrades, and electrical support for wireless telecommunications sites. The ideal candidate is safety-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in active cell site environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, replace, and commission DC power systems and batteries at cellular tower and rooftop sites.
Perform electrical work related to telecom equipment, rectifiers, power plants, and grounding systems.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and telecom construction drawings.
Ensure all work complies with NEC, local/state codes, and carrier standards.
Conduct site walk-throughs, power testing, and system verification.
Troubleshoot power-related issues at cell sites and coordinate corrective actions.
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment at all times.
Complete required documentation, close-out reports, and safety checklists.
OPERATIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Active Electrician License in the State of Michigan (Detroit-approved).
Proven experience working in the telecommunications industry.
Hands-on experience with battery installations at cell sites (DC power systems).
Strong understanding of telecom power infrastructure.
Ability to work independently and as part of a field team.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to multiple job sites.
Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in secure telecom facilities.
WHAT SETS YOU UP FOR SUCCESS
Previous work on wireless carrier sites (e.g., major carriers).
Experience with backup power systems, grounding, and bonding.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Familiarity with site access, safety protocols, and badging requirements.
Willingness to work extended hours or weekends based on projectJOB DESCRIPTION

License in Detroit, MI.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, climb, bend, and work in confined spaces as needed.
COMPENSATION
Pay Range: $66,560 – $93,600 per year.
Competitive pay based on experience and licensing.
Per diem and travel compensation (when applicable).
