Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details
Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement and holiday support
Patient ratios: 2:1 ICU, 4-5:1 PCU
10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit with charge nurse out of staffing
No unit secretaries or PCTs available
Day shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN; Night shift: 1 Charge RN, 5 Staff RN
Work with lift equipment, Targeted Temperature Management (TTM), ventilators, and IV pumps
Use Cerner documentation system
Float to other units as required
Perform bedside shift reporting (mandatory)
Relief charge nurse expected to perform nurse leader rounding
Assist providers with bedside procedures including chest tube insertion and intubations
Must have Medical ICU experience in large facility
Advanced skills needed: ventilator management, critical care pharmacology, hemodynamic monitoring, central line management
Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
Dress code: Navy blue or white scrubs
Must be comfortable with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
Must be a critical thinker, flexible, and work well with others
