
Associate Attorney

We are seeking a highly skilled Estate Planning Attorney with 3 to 5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of estate law and taxation, along with proven experience drafting complex estate planning documents. This attorney will be responsible for managing a variety of estate planning matters, advising high-net‑worth individuals, and overseeing estate and trust administration processes.
Responsibilities
Advise clients on estate planning strategies to preserve and transfer wealth, minimize taxes, and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
Draft comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
Develop and implement sophisticated estate and tax planning strategies for high-net‑worth individuals and families.
Handle estate and trust administration, including probate proceedings, preparation of estate tax returns, and trust funding.
Review and analyze client assets and financial portfolios to tailor personalized estate plans.
Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to ensure seamless execution of estate plans.
Represent clients in probate court when necessary, handling contested and uncontested estate matters.
Stay current on federal and state tax laws, regulations, and estate planning trends.
Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff.
Foster and maintain client relationships, providing ongoing counsel and support throughout the estate planning process.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Active bar membership in the state of practice.
3 to 5 years of experience in estate planning, probate, and trust administration.
Expertise in estate planning, wealth transfer strategies, gift tax, estate tax, and generation‑skipping tax planning.
Experience handling complex and high‑value estates, including knowledge of business succession planning.
Strong drafting and analytical skills with the ability to produce high‑quality legal documents.
Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
Ability to manage a large caseload with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
Knowledge of tax law as it relates to estate planning (CPA or LLM in Taxation is a plus).
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Office‑based environment, with occasional travel for client meetings or court appearances.
Interaction with clients, financial planners, accountants, and other legal professionals.
