Our Long Island Legal Support Department is comprised of highly skilled and motivated individuals, who are seeking a dynamic self-starter to join our growing team!
Job Description
The desired Legal Assistant will provide support to attorneys, by engaging in the following tasks:
Assist with complex document production, drafting pleadings, discovery and correspondence (including Bates Stamping)
Create Table of Contents and Table of Authorities
Prepare court filings and file with various courts (traditional and e-filings)
Communicate with court staff regarding various issues
Handle outgoing and incoming mail/FedEx for assigned attorneys
Maintain calendars for assigned attorneys
Prepare Trial Memorandum and calendar all appearances/deadlines
Schedule Depositions, Mediations, as well as handling all calendaring for assigned attorneys
Scan and upload documents to the document management system and create templates for new files
Answer telephones taking detailed messages. At request of attorneys, provide follow‑up and interact with clients, outside counsel and others
Other duties, as needed, to support the firm and office operations

Qualifications
3+ years of litigation experience
Exceptional writing, communication, and organization skills
Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Ability to analyze legal documents and ensure accuracy and knowledge of legal terminology
Base Salary Range:
$55,000 – $70,000

Actual compensation will be determined based on market location, as well as the candidate’s experience, skills, and job‑related qualifications.
