
Junior Accountant

The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries. This position is expected to supply accurate financial data to the Management Team to ensure business effectiveness.
Duties
Have full functional understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounting
Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and yearly accounting closing activities
Create and enter journal entries as assigned
Escalate general ledger account discrepancies as they arise to ensure consistency for financial reporting
Contribute to daily accounting activities within AR and AP as assigned
Escalate AR and AP discrepancies as they arise to ensure consistent alignment with both customers and suppliers
Provide transaction backup documentation for audit activities as assigned
Ad hoc reporting and other duties as assigned
Requirements
Associates Degree or equivalent education and experience
One to three years related experience preferred
Hands-on experience working with general ledgers
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent problem-solving skills
Proficient with ERP and Microsoft Office systems
Able to organize and prioritize work effectively
Follow through to ensure work is complete and delivered in a timely manner
Exceptional Internal and External Customer Service
