Job Description
THIS IS FOR 1ST SHIFT. MUST SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND ENGLISH FLUENTLY FOR SAFETY AND TRAINING REQUIRMENTS
We’re looking for a dependable Fabricator to perform welding repairs, fabricate equipment components, and support the development of new tooling and shop solutions. This role supports maintenance and fabrication operations by producing high-quality welds, maintaining safety standards, and assisting with equipment improvements across the shop environment.
What You’ll Bring
Mechanical aptitude and fabrication mindset – Ability to understand equipment construction, welding processes, and fabrication methods to support repair and fabrication work.
Detail-oriented craftsmanship – Maintains accuracy when reading prints, measuring materials, and producing clean, structurally sound welds.
Safety-focused work ethic – Consistently follows safe welding practices, PPE requirements, and OSHA standards in a fabrication shop environment.
Team-oriented attitude – Willing to assist coworkers with troubleshooting, equipment operation guidance, and collaborative problem-solving.
What You’ll Do
Perform welding repairs on industrial equipment and components. Use MIG, TIG, stick welding, and other processes to restore structural integrity and extend equipment life.
Fabricate metal parts, tools, and structural components. Build items from blueprints, sketches, or shop instructions to support maintenance and fabrication needs.
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and fabrication specifications. Ensure finished work meets dimensional accuracy, structural requirements, and design intent.
Operate welding and cutting equipment safely and efficiently. Utilize MIG welders, TIG welders, AC/DC stick welders, oxy-acetylene torches, and plasma cutters.
Assist with tooling and equipment design improvements. Support shop innovation by helping create or modify fixtures, tooling, and fabrication processes.Operate additional shop equipment when required. Run CNC water jet systems, plasma tables, metal saws, and other fabrication machinery as needed.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment. Follow company safety procedures, use required PPE, and ensure equipment is operated responsibly.
What You’ll Need
High school diploma or GED required; technical school training in welding or fabrication preferred.
Experience with welding and fabrication processes such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding; prior fabrication or maintenance shop experience preferred.
Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings is preferred but not required; must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Familiarity with CNC equipment, plasma tables, water jet systems, or fabrication shop tools is beneficial.
Ability to work in a fabrication environment that includes standing for extended periods, repetitive motion, exposure to welding heat and sparks, and lifting or moving materials up to 50 lbs. Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, and operate hand and power tools while wearing required PPE.
