Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details
Work 3x12 hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
Float between PCU and Medical‑Surgical units as needed - must be comfortable working all PCU and MS units
Staffing re-evaluated every 4 hours, potential to float 2-3 times per shift
PCU patient ratio averages 5:1, MS ratio averages 6:1 (may flex up to 7:1)
Weekend requirement: either every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in 6‑week scheduling block
Must work one holiday per 13‑week contract
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
EPIC charting experience required
2 years of experience required
Must be skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, blood product administration
Proficient in central line care, trach management, non‑invasive airway support including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, chest tubes
Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, titrating cardiac drips
Capable of managing PCA and heparin protocols, IV insulin administration
Background in telemetry and step‑down‑level care required
24 hours of orientation provided
Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
Accepts first‑time travelers and pending licenses from non‑compact states
Virginia State or Compact RN license required
