Description
JOB SUMMARY

Supports the TRIO program by capturing and producing high-quality visual content for events, student services, and program promotions. The student worker edits and organizes images in a timely manner.

Working closely with TRIO staff, this position helps visually document student engagement while representing the program in a professional and positive manner.

This is a part-time position of less than 10 hours per week. Schedule will vary according to scheduled events. This is a grant funded position. Preference will be given to students who qualify for Federal Work Study.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Attend TRIO program events, workshops, and activities to support student participation and engagement
Maintain an assigned caseload of TRIO students and provide regular check-ins to support academic success and retention
Build positive relationships with students to encourage involvement in TRIO services and campus resources
Promote the TRIO program across campus through outreach, tabling, classroom visits, and student interactions with TRIO staff.
Assist in the creation and distribution of promotional materials such as flyers, posters, and digital content
Collaborate with TRIO staff to plan and support student engagement activities and outreach efforts
Help connect students to academic support services, tutoring, advising, and other campus resources
Track student interactions and engagement activities as required by the program
Represent the TRIO program in a professional, positive, and welcoming manner at all times

Participate in planning and implementation of student success initiatives and recognition events
Provide feedback to staff on student needs, trends, and engagement strategies

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED TO PERFORM THIS ROLE
• Understanding of TRIO program mission, services, and eligibility requirements
• Basic knowledge of student support services and campus resources
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements (FERPA) and professional boundaries
• Interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with diverse students
• Organizational skills for managing a student caseload and tracking interactions
• Time management skills to balance outreach, events, and student follow-ups
• Problem-solving skills to support student needs and refer appropriately
• Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use good judgment in student interactions
• Ability to attend and actively participate in campus events and outreach activities

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Overall GPA of at least 3.00 required
OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Must be a current student at Klamath Community College.
Must have completed the FAFSA for 2025-2026 academic year and been determined eligible for Federal Work Study.
Must be available during TRIO hours 8-5 M-F or as needed for scheduled events
