Assistant Sales Manager

Overview
We are Underground Printing (UGP), one of the fastest growing screen printing retailers, with a large in‑state facility and over 300 employees. We serve B2C and B2B clients, including non‑profits, retailers and universities, and we rank in the top 10 largest screen printers in the U.S.

Position
Assistant Sales Manager – full‑time, in‑person, fixed schedule. The role reports to the Sales Manager and supports team coverage and sales during non‑regular hours.

Responsibilities

Promote UGP’s core values and maintain an excellent customer experience.

Convert sales quotes into orders and manage lead follow‑up.

Communicate sales, store and personnel information to the Sales Manager promptly.

Adhere to the Digital Code of Conduct and provide constructive feedback.

Participate in weekly 1‑on‑1 meetings with the Sales Manager.

Cover for absent team members by responding to e‑mail and phone and, when necessary, traveling to other locations.

Ensure the storefront is clean, organized and welcoming, with custom orders and retail products clearly marked.

Engage with local businesses and community events (e.g., chamber of commerce, networking groups).

Communicate with customers by phone, e‑mail or in person, focusing on their needs.

Contribute sales and marketing ideas to the Sales Manager and assist with local events.

Use social media to promote the store location and UGP overall.

Track metrics on the Sales L10 Scorecard, year‑over‑year sales growth, and maintain a customer‑feedback rating of at least 90 %.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or university.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Prior sales experience.

Fast, accurate typing skills.

Highly organized.li>

Proficient with Gmail, cloud applications and social media.

Preferred: previous management experience.
