Overview
The Global Market Access asset/brand lead, reporting to the Sr. Dir. Global Market Access Oncology lead, develops and drives the Market Access strategy for the assigned asset(s)/brand(s) aligned with the global brand(s) strategy. This role provides strategic market access leadership at the brand(s) level, representing market access in various forums (asset/brand teams, commercial sub‑teams, SPT, and other global strategy teams). The lead shapes key strategic decisions, collaborates with clinical development, integrated evidence generation plans, and partners with Pricing, HEOR, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Policy to support timely, optimal reimbursement across US and international markets.
Typical Day May Include
- Drive the brand Market Access team, including core global functions such as Pricing, HEOR, and Policy, to deliver the global market access strategy & key value communication tools for the brand.
- Be responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of payer value generation and access strategies to enable an accelerated path to market.
- Serve as the leading resource on access strategies and be an active member of the commercial sub‑team, ad‑hoc member of the SPT, and other disease area strategy groups.
- Integrate pricing, payer research, health‑economic and epidemiology information to develop the optimal value strategy.
- Coordinate with US and international Market Access, HEOR, Medical Affairs, and Marketing teams to develop real‑world evidence generation supporting access programs.
- Develop an integrated access strategy that reflects macro factors (health care reform, quality metrics, technology assessment) and disease‑specific factors (clinical profile, market segmentation, disease staging, clinical pathway), and the complexity of precision medicine as needed.
- Partner with Global Pipeline/Early‑assets Market Access teams to gather critical insights from US and international markets to ensure clinical development programs fully capture product value to payers, physicians, and patients, including strategic advice on patient populations, trial design, endpoint selection, and quality implementation of study protocols, case report forms, monitoring protocols, statistical analysis plans, etc.

Qualifications
Ph.D., Pharm D, MD, or M.Sc. in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Public Health, Health Policy, or a related field; at least 12 years of professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry at global, regional, and local levels with a focus in Epidemiology, Health Economics, and Payer Access; at least 5 years of experience within the reimbursement environment for key international markets and, preferably, in a Market Access Lead position with intense payer negotiation experience. Experience in multiple therapy areas, including Oncology, is required. Onsite presence is required for 4 days a week in the office.
