Role Description - 1099, Remote - Agency

This is a remote contract role for an Agency Account Manager. The role involves managing client relationships, coordinating logistics operations, supporting dispatching activities, and maintaining clear communication with customers and carriers throughout the shipment lifecycle.
The Agency Account Manager will work closely with customers and operations to support successful shipment execution, monitor service performance, resolve issues proactively, and contribute to long‑term account growth and customer satisfaction.
Role paths may include:
Sales Only – Focus on customer acquisition and account growth while operations supports shipment execution.
Cradle to Grave (After hours assistance available).
Manage the full shipment lifecycle including sales, quoting, carrier sourcing, dispatch coordination, tracking, and customer management. Competitive split opportunities available for agents handling both sales and operations responsibilities.
Operations Only – Focus on pricing, carrier sourcing, tracking, dispatch coordination, and operational execution without direct sales responsibilities.
Qualifications

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively in remote environments
Experience in logistics, dispatching, or supply chain operations preferred
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to multitask and manage priorities independently
Understanding of logistics operational workflows is a plus
Experience improving processes and operational efficiency is beneficial
Ideal candidates are self‑motivated, organized, adaptable, and comfortable operating within fast‑paced logistics environments.
