Job Summary
Product Engineering is a unified team responsible for the engineering of Disney Entertainment & ESPN digital and streaming products and platforms. The Media Delivery team seeks a Sr. Media Delivery Operations Specialist to manage the health and accuracy of Hulu's large content library and the operational effectiveness of the VOD content pipeline. This role partners with Engineering & Product teams, oversees video operations, metadata management, and encoding distribution workflows, and drives operational improvement across the supply chain.

Responsibilities and Duties

Work with a small team to identify, troubleshoot, triage, and improve complex metadata, artwork, and systems challenges.

Follow and improve the established content issue escalation process for VOD.

Voice operational improvement within Hulu's digital supply chain and content toolset; independently analyze workflows to propose scalable solutions.

Maintain documentation and runbook accuracy through regular refinement or creation.

Provide operational guidance and communicate technical challenges and business requirements effectively to stakeholders.

Manage multiple tasks simultaneously and respond to issues in a timely and effective manner.

Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule to address timely off‑hours issues.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications

Minimum 5 years’ experience in digital distribution, post‑production, and/or digital asset management.

Expertise with content management systems or digital metadata management for VOD.

Familiarity with JSON, XML, and structural formatting.

Familiarity with manually working in an API document (e.g., Swagger).

Ability to deliver high‑quality results in a heavy multitasking environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with VOD delivery packaging standards such as MDDF and ADI.

Experience in SQL query language.

Required Education

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in TV/Film Production, Communications, Computer Science, Data Science/Analytics, or a similar field.

Compensation
The hiring range for this position in Santa Monica, CA is $80,700 to $108,100 per year. The base pay will be determined based on internal equity, geographic region, and the candidate’s experience and skills. A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
