Responsibilities

Train staff: develop and deliver weekly training sessions, coordinate presenters, prepare materials, maintain training calendar.
Develop and update training materials; deliver sessions as needed.
Coordinate program communications, announcements, and marketing related to training and departmental initiatives.
Respond to inquiries regarding training offerings and general program activities.
Compile and maintain program statistics, records, and databases.
Assess staff training needs and develop new trainings; coordinate with Aggie One Stop trainer to ensure up‑to‑date scholarship, financial‑aid and military‑education benefits information.
Assist with budgeting for training activities and events; plan & implement program events such as workshops, meetings and retreats; evaluate effectiveness and identify improvement opportunities.
Provide general office support: facilitate secure access, assist with travel, parking, printing or supply needs; schedule meetings, trainings, retreats and workshops.
Assist with travel/training requests processing through Emburse; support hiring supervisor with onboarding processes; supervise student workers if required.
Maintain current federal, state and institutional policies, procedures & regulations regarding scholarships, financial aid, military education benefits and office administration; collaborate with subject‑matter experts to implement policy changes.
Assist with financial‑aid, scholarships and military‑education benefits processes to gain knowledge of student and family issues.
Attend conferences, courses or workshops to develop knowledge in financial aid systems, Banner, training and development.
Review policies and procedures; suggest and implement innovations in department; maintain and update delegation of authority.
Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and at least two years of related experience.
Preferred:

Master’s degree in Human Resources, Student Affairs, Management or related field; two years of teaching and/or training experience; one or more years of financial aid experience.
Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and database applications.
Ability to make presentations; excellent oral & written communication.
Ability to understand, solve complex problems; evaluate situations, determine training needs and best solutions.
Demonstrated unbiased, objective decision‑making based on project needs.
Ability to synthesize the varied needs of constituent groups; maintain strong working relations.
Prioritize tasks and complete them on schedule and within budget.
Working knowledge of standard office equipment.
Ability to multi‑task and work cooperatively with others.
