Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Patient Account Specialist will manage patient inquiries regarding payment options and insurance setups, establish payment arrangements, and ensure timely resolution of account balances.
Key responsibilities
Screen patients and process Financial Assistance Applications, verifying eligibility and making account adjustments as needed
Communicate with patients through various channels to address inquiries and obtain necessary documentation for financial assistance
Collaborate with insurance companies and other entities to secure appropriate payment for accounts and resolve outstanding balances
Required qualifications
Minimum of 1 year of experience in collections, customer service, billing, or a related medical field
Preferred college coursework in Accounting, Business, Medical Technology, Communications, or Social Work
Proficiency in MS Office applications and 10-key calculators
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and collaboratively with limited supervision
